Kristin Sjoholm
Nutrition Coach in Training
As a nutrition coach, Kristin’s goal is to provide personalized guidance, encouragement, and a tailored plan to help you prioritize your most valuable asset—your health. Drawing from over twenty years of corporate and consulting experience in supply chain, she understands the demands of balancing a high-pressure career with family, friends, and personal well-being. Kristin’s mission is to empower you to thrive in all areas of life while navigating these challenges.
Kristin’s decision to become a coach was inspired by her mom, who as a dietitian helped women diagnosed with gestational diabetes make critical changes to their diets and health. Many of these women came to the U.S. and didn’t understand the impact of their food choices, and her mom’s work in guiding them back to healthier choices and balance deeply impacted her. While Kristin’s career took a different path, her passion for helping others build a healthier relationship with food has always been at the forefront of her thinking. Kristin is honored to now help clients not only understand the role food plays in their well-being but also make straightforward, sustainable choices that fit into their lives.
Despite having a nutritional science understanding from her mom, Kristin’s own journey with food, nutrition and exercise was a rocky one. She spent years over-consuming, over-exercising and listening to the fad diet of the moment which took her further from her health goals. It wasn’t until she engaged with Green Door Life that she found a program that taught her how to approach food and exercise in a way that fully supports a healthier and more whole/satisfied/knowledgeable version of herself. Having faced these challenges and gone through significant personal change, Kristin is passionate about helping others do the same.
Kristin believes deeply in connecting with people on a genuine level, celebrating their unique gifts, and helping them shine. Every day, she shows up with strength, vulnerability, and a willingness to listen. She embraces imperfection and believes that even failures are stepping stones to the right path. Together, Kristin will work with you through your struggles, celebrate your strengths, and help you build a healthier future. It is possible to move past food-related frustrations and build lasting, positive habits that truly support your well-being.
Challenges I have Overcome Through Health Awareness
- Learning that not eating breakfast and "starving" myself until I overate late in the day wasn't working.
- Understanding the amount of fat I was eating was inhibiting my weight loss and health goals even though it was supposedly healthy fat.
- Learning how to navigate macro-balanced meals 4x daily in a high-stress job with lots of travel and eating out; Assuming cardio was the answer to my physique goals because I didn't want to bulk up; Awareness about portions and my mindset around "treating myself" as a means to make me happy.
